In 1903, winegrowers from Ungstein/Bad Dürkheim decided to join forces with the clear target of producing excellent wines offering an outstanding value-for-money ratio. The rewarded cooperative is located in Ungstein in the heart of the prestigious wine region Palatinate in the South West of Germany. Today Weinwelt Herrenberg-Honigsäckel eG cultivates grapes on 200 ha with an annual production of around 1,5 mio bottles.

We cultivate our grapes at the famous Mittelhardt in Palatinate. On one side our vineyards are influenced by the Rhine Valley which is one of Germany’s most fertile and warmest regions. On the other side they are sheltered by the Palatinate forest in the West, providing constantly mild weather conditions in the course of the year.
This unique and traditional wine region is certainly one of the most interesting places to grow a wide range of grape varieties.

The special climatic position allows us not only to cultivate typical German grapes such as Riesling and Spätburgunder. We love to work with special grape varieties such as Tempranillo, Glera (Prosecco Grape) and Viognier or new sustainable varieties like Soreli, Muscaris and Souvinier Gris.

We are also proud of our experienced and environmentally conscious winegrowers who cultivate their vineyards very carefully and sustainably.
