出展者プロフィール / Exhibitor Outline：Since its foundation in 1849, the Reichsrat von Buhl winery has been one of the most renowned wineries in Germany and stands for a terroir-driven, timeless style that reflects the origin of the grapes from the best vineyards in Deidesheim and Forst. Reichsrat von Buhl sees its unique portfolio of the best vineyards in the Mittelhaardt region as an obligation to press the best wines and sparkling wines from each vineyard. This can only be achieved in harmony with nature: as an ambassador of natural viticulture, the winery combines the experience of 175 years of viticulture with contemporary knowledge of ecology and sustainability. The aim is to make the origin of the grapes, the 'terroir' as an expression of soil, climate, plants, culture, tradition and craftsmanship, tangible in our wines and sparkling wines.

A lively Forster Riesling from the Ungeheuer, Pechstein and Jesuitengarten vineyards, with a typical combination of exotic fruit and smoky spice. Juicy structure, very charming while presenting lots of character. A perfect representative of the terroir and the origin of the grapes.

- ARMAND was the most dazzling personality in the history of the winery. It was he who made the winery what it still is today - an internationally recognized top winery. His political commitment earned him the title „Imperial Councilor of the Bavarian Crown“ and he culminated his life with the opening of the Suez Canal, where VON BUHL wine was served during the cutting of the „red ribbon”. It is in his honor that we produce Armand Riesling.
The character of the wine is said to be similar to the wine served at the opening of the Suez Canal. With a fruity apricot nose and a spectacular firework of acidity, spirit and minerality on the tongue, it never fails to seduce top testers both at home and abroad.

- Classical Spätlese, reminiscent of a full basket of ripe golden-yellow fruits. In the glass you find a very rich and fruity Riesling. Good balanced with fine acid structure and creaminess. Yellow fruit aromas dominate this wunderful dinner companion.
The soil is clearly characterized by red sandstone. Due to its 100% southern exposure and hillside location, air temperatures reaching 50°C+ are not uncommon, making Leinhöhle our warmest vineyard site.

- For us, Pechstein is the most distinctive site in the Palatinate. Nowhere else is there more basalt that appears as clearly as in a wine from the Pechstein site. The mineral heritage from the Pechsteinkopf, the black basalt, gives the wine here its undeniably distinctive note. As the epitome of puristic minerality, our Pechstein embodies a truly Grosses Gewächs.
A once active volcano, the Pechsteinkopf, dispersed large quantities of volcanic rock. In the subsoil of the site are basalt veins, which extend like a fan at the end of the of the valley. Loose basalt rubble, as well as red mottled sandstone weathered soil and sandy loam form the overburden. At a depth of about 2 meters, there are clay and lime layers.

- Our Edition Réserve is characterized by a more rigorous selection of the best organic quality grapes, small yields, as well as a much longer aging period both in bottles and in wooden barrels.
The nose reveals blackberries and black cherry, along with spicy earthy aromas. Paired with some licorice and hints of damp forest floor. Pronounced but pleasantly ripe tannins and a complex elegant body due to long bottle aging. A Pinot Noir the way it should be drunk: Not too young!

- The Suez Canal was opened on 17th November 1869 during a three-day celebration with wine from Reichsrat von Buhl. We take this historical event as an opportunity to present our „Suez Vintage 2015“ to the public 150 years later. Selective hand-picking of our best grapes, the fermentation of the basic wine in 500l tonneaux and stainless steel as well as the traditional bottle fermentation have created a sparkling wine for unique moments. You are welcome to look forward to the pleasure of 100% of organic Riesling at the highest level.

- Ungeheuer can rarely get out of its own shell - not even in 2023. Powerful, spicy, opulent - that‘s the 2023 monster in a nutshell. Ripe stone fruit on the nose, plenty of body and subtle minerality from the basalt on the palate, followed by a salty, slightly tart finish that makes you want to take the next sip.
Complex is the best description of the soil structure. Typical sandstone with more dense clay and sand layers, offset with amounts of limestone. Basalt rock provide the vines with heat and mineral character while a limestone plate provides an efficient water supply.

- The wines from Reichsrat von Buhl are characterized by their precise and clear style. They reflect the characteristics of the vineyard and variety. The interplay between acidity, residual sugar and alcohol content ensures that our wines are delicately fruity and aromatic. We deliberately keep our Bone Dry line „bone dry“ and express this both in the name and on the label. The respective wine aromas are visually integrated into the skull and crossbones, while the name Bone Dry stands for the very dry maturation of the wines.
This is how the Mittelhaardt smells and tastes. Stone fruit and citrus with an animating fresh drink flow with depth.
