出展者プロフィール / Exhibitor OutlineDomaine des Garances is located in the village of Suzette (France), 45 km from Avignon and 15 km from Carpentras, in the southern Rhône Valley. This village, nestled in the heart of the Dentelles de Montmirail, promontory overlooking the valley.
The estate has been in the family since 1640.
In the 50s, the Beaumes de Venise cooperative was created, and the fruit trees were uprooted, paving the way for the cultivation of vines. The estate's harvest brought to the cooperative winery.
In the early 2000s, we looked into the possibility of vinifying the estate's production.
In 2002, we took the plunge and vinified the first vintage of Domaine
des Garances.Today,the estate covers 16 hectares.
Our vineyard is divided into several small plots, which enable us to claim Beaumes de Venise and Ventoux appellations.
Our terraced hillside vineyards are planted on a terroir unrivalled in the Rhône Valley.

LESCALE BLANC 2023

On the road between Suzette and Le Barroux, in the Jas de Court area, Roussannes, Clairettes and Grenaches come together in this golden bottle to delight us with their freshness and flavours; a little pleasure of citrus fruit and pineapple.

Grape varieties
65% Clairette, 30% Roussanne and 5% Grenache blanc.

Harvest
The harvest date is determined by tasting the grapes. The hand-picked harvest is sorted on the plot and then in the winery at the optimum ripening date.

Wine Making
The whole bunches are put into the press, and the resulting juice is put into vats for 24 hours at a low temperature to clarify it. The juice is then drawn off into a temperature controlled stainless steel vat where the fermentation takes place. The temperature is maintained at 17°C throughout the fermentation process.

Ageing
After spending the winter in the cellar, the wine is filtered and then bottled.

SULPHITE-FREE

On the Barroux plateau, in the middle of the woods overlooking Lac du Paty, this clay plot has been planted for about forty years. This wine is beautifully fresh, full of fruits and flavours.

Grape varieties
70% Caladoc, 20%Grenache, 10% Syrah.

Harvest
The harvest date is determined by tasting the grapes.
At the optimum ripening date, the hand-picked grapes are sorted on the plot and then in the winery.

Wine Making
The entire harvest is destemmed and then crushed before being placed in cement vats.
The vats are temperature-controlled to maintain moderate temperatures throughout fermentation.
During fermentation, the grapes are gently extracted by daily pumping over. Maceration lasts an average of 12 days.

Ageing
After spending the winter in the cellar, the wine is lightly filtered and then bottled.

BEAUMES DE VENISE
ALAZARD 2022

Ideally situated on the Trias, a unique terroir in the Rhône Valley, these low-fertility plots of a wide variety of clay, limestone and gypsum form circular hillsides around the winery.
This forty-year-old vineyard is planted mainly with Grenache and Syrah grapes.
It produces a full-bodied wine with silky tannins and a spicy nose with a smooth liquorice finish.
To be enjoyed at a temperature of 16° / 17° celcius degree with grilled red meat or game.

65% Grenache, 35% Syrah.

BEAUMES DE VENISE
LE PAS DE L’AUBE 2020

For lovers of full-bodied wines, this barrel-aged cuvée gives the Syrah and Grenache blend great depth. Its terroir, a combination of the estate's best slopes, gives this Syrah aged in oak for 12 months a bouquet of sun-kissed fruit, spices and garrigue, with dense, round tannins.
Best served two or three years later with a shoulder of lamb with thyme.

Wine Making
The harvest is completely destemmed and then crushed before being placed in temperature-controlled cement vats to maintain moderate temperatures throughout fermentation. Ageing
After racking, the Syrahs are aged in barrels for 12 months. Once the wines have been bottled, they will only be sold after a year in the cellar.
