- Vintage 2018 is a tribute to Arturo Pérez Rojas, creator of Piedra Sagrada. A great bottle for cellaring, a classic in straightness, in the purest line of Cabernet Sauvignon:
• A bright color, iridescent, Burmese ruby full of fire.
• The nose is already very expressive, although it was not until 2022 that the complex bouquet fully surrendered to the delicate nose of big bottle enthusiasts. Spices, black fruits, a touch of nougat and a note of fiery raspberry water distinguish this new vintage.
• On the palate, nuances. and subtleties of an almost sweet fruity flavour; Softness and roundness without ever lacking intensity.
An immediate pleasure that reveals all its different facets over the course of almost three hours of tasting. The unique spectacle of a great terroir wine that is only given to a true palate; to the one who knows how to analyze the pleasure of what he is tasting.
Winemaking :
The terroir's expression and the vintage dictates the winemaking and aging process:
• Winemaking: classic médocaine without filtration.
• Native fermentation: is carried out in 4 stainless steel truncated-cone tanks of small volume (5000L), in order to separate each plot of the vineyard.
• Blending: the wines from the different plots are taste by Eric Verdier who select and determines the final blend put into barrels
•Ageing: 14 months in French new oak barrels (65% new barrels, 35% second use barrels), Marsannay le Bois du Roy, France
