We are located in the northeast of Murcia, in the region of Jumilla, the original bodega was founded by Grandpa Francisco Pacheco in 1948. Francisco began by making wine in a modest homebased wine press that was later inherited by Paco Pacheco, father to the Pacheco sisters. Paco subsequently expanded the enterprise that is currently in the hands of the third and fourth generations of the Pacheco Family. This young team continue to run their wine business with the passion of their forebears, combining tradition with innovation to highlight the knowledge they have gained from their ancestors while contributing their own pioneering, contemporary knowledge about the winemaking process.

Vineyard information:
The name of the plot is Parcela Vereda. Located near the town of Tobarra, northern part of D.O.P. Jumilla. Ungrafted, goblet-trained bush vines, dry-farmed. Spur-pruned. Low density. Altitude 652 m.a.s.l. This plot was planted in 1973.

This plot boasts two evidently distinct types of soil: a hillside with white, chalky soils, poor in organic material, which affords salinity, and at the foot of the hillside, fresher soils that boast more abundant clay.

Mediterranean climate with a continental character. Great diurnal range temperature.
Annual rainfall 235 mm. in 2022

Vinification:

Fermented in french oak fudre at temperature controlled of 24-26 °C using natural yeasts. Aged in french oak barrel (500 l.) during 10 months. This wine is subject to surface and amicrobic filtration (1-μm)
Bottled November 2023

Tasting note: Color Medium to high intensity, ruby colour.
Nose: Fruity nose where the oak is well integrated, spiced and some hints of earth and mineral.
Palate: Rich, full of taste, firm tannins and nice lingering mineral finish. A bold Monastrell wine, can age.
Food pairing: Great wine for barbecues, grilled steaks and homemade stews. Delicious wine with
grilled baby goat ribs.

Combination of different plots, located in the Marin Valley, southern sub-zone of the D.O.P. Jumilla.
Dry-farmed, bush vines, hand harvested. All plots were planted in low density (2,70 x 2,70 m).
Altitude 380 - 400 m.a.s.l.
The age of the vines vary from 15 to 35 years old

Climate: Dry Mediterranean
Annual rainfall: 235 L/m2 in 2022

Vinification:
Fermented in stainless steel vat at temperature controlled of 24-26 °C using natural yeasts. Malolactic fermentation in concrete vat and ageing in concrete during 7 months. Not fined and not cold stabilized. Tangencial and amicrobic filtration (3 & 1-μm).
Bottled in April 2023.

Tasting note

Color: Medium intensity, ruby color.

Aroma: Elegant with notes of red berries and mediterranean herbs.

Palate: On the palate, the weight, the silkiness and the flavours make the wine superior in its range. Paraje Marín is a terroir-driven Monastrell with a great character and reflects really well its origin, the Marín Valley, southern part of the appellation.

Food pairing:
Great wine for tapas, sushi, grilled salmon, baked cod with tomato sauce, risotto, Arroz y conejo and white meats. Also, excellent wine to pair with thai, cantonese and italian cuisine.

Vintage 2022

Ageing: 7 months in french oak and concrete tanks

Vineyard information: Name Finca means single-estate and CQ means "Casa Quemada", this is the name of the estate. Location: Sierra de la Cingla (shadow side). Dry-farmed, goblet-trained bush vines. Low density (2,7 x 2,7 m.). Altitude 650 - 730 metres above sea-level.
Age Planted between 1988 and 1990. Soil Different type of soils: limestone, clay, sand. Climate Mediterranean, annual rainfall 235 lt/m2 in 2022

Vinification:
Fermented in stainless steel vat at temperature controlled of 24-26 °C using natural yeasts. Malolactic fermentation and ageing has taken place in french oak barrels of 500 l. and also in concrete tank. Ageing time: 7 months. Just surface filtration (1-μm).
Bottling date May 2023

Tasting note:

Color: Medium intensity, ruby color

Aroma: Fragant nose dominated by red berries, spices, and chalky notes.

Palate: The wine is well-balanced, fruit-driven and the way the wine moves around yourpalate is outstanding. A Monastrell wine where the finesse, agility and delicacy
are the main attributes.

Food pairing:
The wine is quite versatile, it can pair well with any kind of meat and also with fish dishes which are dressed with sauces. And, of course, a really good wine for tapas and informal meals.

Vineyard: Airén: dry-farmed, goblet-trained bush vines, hand harvested, sandy-clay soils. This wine is made by a combination of plots located in Estrecho de Marín valley, southern part of the appellation Jumilla. The altitude range between 380 and 450 m.a.s.l.
Macabeo & Malvasía: dry-farmed, goblet-trained bush vines, hand
harvested, sandy-chalky soil. Location: Estrecho de Marín. Altitude 380 m.a.s.l. Planted in 2018 at low density (2.5 x 2.5 m)
Vinification
Destemmed, crushed, direct pressing, the must is clarified chilling down to 8 ºC (24 h.). Fermentation in stainless steel tank, controlled temperature of 14 - 16 ºC.

Tasting note:
Medium-high intensity, lemon-green color. On the nose, we find good
intensity, where notes of white flowers, tropical fruit, melon and citrus stand out. On the palate, we have a juicy wine, with marked acidity, refreshing and persistent. In short, a pleasant, fruity and fresh white wine.

Pairing:Excellent wine for an aperitif, seafood, paella, any kind of tapas. Mediterranean salads, baked cod with fried garlic, baked trout with butter sauce, among others.

Vineyard information: Goblet-trained bush vines planted in dry, non-irrigated, chalky soils. The age of the
vines varies between 15 and 40 years old. Manually harvested. The vines are certified
organic and are planted at altitudes of 380-730 metres, in low-density (2,70 x 2,70
m). This wine is made from grapes grown in plots from different sub-zones of D.O.P.
Jumilla: Término de Arriba, La Raja, and Las Encebras.

Vinification: Fermented in stainless-steel vats at controlled temperatures of 25 °C using natural
yeast. This unoaked wine is subject to fining, cold stabilisation, depth, surface, and
amicrobic filtration (0.65-μm).

Tasting note: Medium, ruby in colour. Clean and expressive, notes of red berries, spices and chalk.
A easy-drinking, fruit-driven, well-balanced wine. Good example of an unoaked
Monastrell.

Food pairing: This versatile wine is ideal with tapas, salads, rice dishes, and baked or grilled fish such
as salmon, turbot and sea bass. Unsurprisingly, it also pairs well with thai, chinese, and
japanese food.

Type: oaked red wine. Time in oak 12 months

Vineyard: Monastrell: dry-farmed, goblet-trained bush vines, spur-pruned, hand harvested, limestone soils. Combination of different located in Estrecho de Marín & Casa Diaz (south) and La tella & Casa de los Pozos (north). Altitude: 380-760 m.a.s.l. Low density (2.5 x 2.7 m).
Syrah: trellis-trained vines with drip irrigation. The plot is located at 550 m.a.s.l. on the valley “Omblancas”, 7 km north-west from Jumilla town. Sandy and clay soil. Planted in 2004. Cane-pruned vines (Guyot). High density (1.20 x 3 m).
Cabernet Sauvignon: trellis-trained vines with drip irrigation. The plot is located at 380 m.a.s.l. on the valley “Estrecho de Marín”, southern subzone of the D.O.P. Jumilla. The vines were planted in 2008. Limestone soil. Spur-pruned vines (double cordon royat). High density (1.20 x 3 m).

Vinification: Destemmed bunches, uncrushed berries. Fermented in stainless steel vats, temperature controlled at 25-26 °C, wild yeasts. The finish wine is aged during 12 months in french oak barrel of 300 l. Each variety is matured separately. The blend is made at the end of the ageing period in a stainless steel vat. The final blend has not been under neither clarification process nor cold stabilisation. Amicrobic filtration (0,65-μm).

Tasting notes:
Medium intensity, ruby colour. Red fruit aromas well-integrated with the french oak aromas suchs as clove and baking spiced. Great elegance on the nose. The wine on the palate is well-structured, bold, velvety-rich tannins that coat the palate, finishing with brightness. Ready to drink now with a good potential for ageing.

Food Pairing: Spanish dishes: gachamiga rulera, arroz y conejo, cabrito frito con ajos, carne a la brasa, solomillo a la piedra, gazpachos jumillanos, etc... Smoked trout with butter sauce, roast meat with gravy sauce, beef goulash (czech cuisine), beef cheeks served with chickpea puree, pecking duck (cantonese cuisine), sweet and sour pork hock, etc…

Style: Late-harvest (unfortified)

Vineyard: Goblet-trained bush vines, dry-farmed, hand harvested. The grapes come from our Finca Casa Quemada, northern subzone of the D.O.P. Jumilla. Altitude 700 m.a.s.l. Vineyard planted in 1990. Low density (2.70 x 2.70 m)

Vinification: Overripening in the vineyard. Fermentation in a stainless steel tank, at 25 ºC for a period of 12 days. Indigenous yeasts. This unoaked wine is only filtered through plates.

Tasting note: With high intensity and cherry color, this sweet wine stands out on the nose for its balsamic notes and black olive. On the mouth we find a structured and concentrated wine, in which raisined fruit and balsamic notes such as mint are appreciated that give way to a long and persistent finish. Food pairing Chocolates, desserts, cured cheeses and blue cheeses
